    Emmeline

A rare bridgedeck version of the Lake Union Dream Boat. It has a fairly standard tri-cabin arrangement, starting with a head in the forepeak, then a sleeping cabin with a bunk each side, ladder up to the wheelhouse, ladder back down to the galley to port, icebox and another head to stbd, aft cabin with demountable table and a settee/bunk each side, finally a ladder up to the aft deck. The Geary design drawing shows this pretty clearly. The hull is Doug. Fir planking over oak frames, pilothouse is solid teak, aft cabin sides is 1/2″ teak over 1 5/8″ Doug. Fir, all exterior bright trim is teak except rubrails, most of which are ironbark. The transom is plywood over yellow cedar planking (probably not original). The advertisements state “sleeping accommodations for 9” but that’s nuts. Four is our limit.
