We would like to introduce you to DELTA, the 1928 62’ Consolidated raised deck cruiser! This boat was a mystery that I only heard stories about through my old friend Bob Tiedemann, many years ago. I rediscovered her last year in her private boat house on the New River, where she has been stored unused for the past 40 plus years! Thank you Jonathan S. Chapman!

We have spent the past months stripping, re-caulking and prepping her bottom for her northbound delivery to Newport this spring. Her old Detroit Diesels were coaxed back to life and she eased her way out of the boat house this morning. As I write, she is making her way to Stuart from Ft Lauderdale, on her first leg to salvation!! As you can see, she celebrated her 95th birthday this past Tuesday!! Cheers!!
