Historical Summary:
Eslo is a custom-built motor yacht constructed in the 1940s in Brisbane, California, by local shipbuilder Thomas Netherland. One of only a small number of vessels attributed to Netherland, Eslo reflects the craftsmanship and character of Bay Area wooden boatbuilding during that era.
The vessel has been carefully maintained and stewarded over the decades, most recently by previous owners Tom and Nancy Clothier, who undertook significant restoration work to preserve her structural integrity and classic lines. In 2021, ownership of Eslo transferred to her current stewards, who have continued this restoration effort with a focus on both preservation and thoughtful modernization. Updates have included a visual refresh to enhance her aesthetic appeal while remaining true to her mid-century origins. Period-appropriate materials were selected throughout, including red marmoleum flooring in the pilothouse, and the reintroduction of her original blue-painted decks—features that honor Eslo’s heritage while giving her renewed presence on the water.

This yacht has been accepted and is currently registered as a Classic vessel with the Classic Yacht Asssociation.
