Historical Summary:
ITCHIN' was purchased for $100 from her original owners (the Atchinson family of Black Ball Transport) after she sank in her covered boathouse on Lake Washington in 1997. She had been unused for almost 30 years. A total restoration was undertaken. Working almost every night and weekend, she was slowly brought back to life; about one-third of her bottom was replaced from the damage. Also new engines, transmissions, and tanks were replaced. Everything else was re-worked, rebuilt, refurbished, stained, painted, varnished or somehow redone. She now enjoys an active life, crusing at 22-2500 RPMs. at 18-20 knots, and only uses about 10-12 gph.
