The "Capitan" was one of 111 models which made up the 1955 Chris-Craft "Freedom Fleet." This boat was built in Holland, Michigan and was hull number 005.  She was shipped by rail and was received at Seattle's Salmon Bay Terminal on April 12, 1955. The Bryant's Marina sale price that year was $15,000.

The current owners have re-powered with twin Marine Power 350 Chevy engines and have completely upgraded all systems. Most recently the improvements are new carpeting, custom v-berth cushions, new interior paint, re-chromed hardware and new instruments in the restored helm station.
