Historical Summary:


Matriarch  is one of three Elco 57's extant, was built in 1940 at the Elco Works in Bayonne N.J. She is powered by twin V-903-M Cummins diesels which allow her to cruise at 10 kts @ 1000 rpm/flank at 21 kts @ 2,700 rpm. Purchased in LaConner, WA in 2003, she was moved to Seneca, SC and restored by her present owners over a two-year period prior to her re-launching into Lake Keowee, Oconee County, SC.
