Historical Summary:


 

Syrene I  was built in 1921 in London for a Greek tobacco millionaire. In the 30s, she was brought to British Columbia to serve a mission boat for the Church of Canada. In 1941 she was purchased by the Forest Service of British Columbia to service the province's forest lands. In 1977 she was purchased by a private owner and kept in a boathouse at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club until April of 2010. At that point she was purchased by her present owners, and now she is ready for her next voyage.
