    Raehunter

RAEHUNTER was purchased in April 1960 from Chris Craft and transported via rail car from Algonac to Portland, Oregon dealer, Staff Jennings, by original owner (unknown). Six months into boat ownership, the new owner hit a log in the Columbia River, dislodged a prop shaft, started rapidly taking on water, beached on a sandbar and sold the boat. In late 1960, the second owner, Olympia, WA architect Gordon VonTorne purchased and moved the boat to its current boathouse location at the Olympia Yacht Club at the Southernmost point of Puget Sound and named her ‘Happy Time’.
