    Recovery

"RECOVERY" was originally built on Beals Island, Me., for the commercial Lobster fishery. Beals Island boats are known to be the 'archetype' of the downeast lobsterboat. Somehow she made it to the West Coast; a previous owner had a variety of Port Townsend yards perform extensive work to her deck and superstructure, and also had her repowered with the current John Deere. That owner ran her to Ketchikan and back...and those 275 hrs were the only ones on the engine when Haven Boatworks acquired her. Haven is well known to Pacific Northwest classic yacht owners as the go-to place for the best care of vintage yachts. They plan to upgrade Recovery's electronics, running gear, and finish out the currently raw interior, all the while using her for local cruises.
