    Black Douglas

Black Douglas is a 23 foot 1928 bay launch built and designed by Bath Iron Works. Emily Roberling gave the launch to her father who had built the 160 foot Black Douglas, a steel hulled schooner. She served for many years as the Port Captain's harbor launch at the Palo Alto Yacht Club under the ownership of Thomas B. Olson during the 60s and 70s. A long time member of the CYA she is currently owned by veteran CYA member Jim Butz and is berthed at California Yacht Marina, Wilmington, CA.
