Historical Summary:
"Cantagree" was commissioned in 1952 at the Stephens Brothers, Inc., yard in Stockton California by Mr. James Camp, Bakersfield, CA. She was launched in May, 1953.

Madera was later purchased by Mr. John Pankratz of Seattle in 1955.
Madera began a lengthy restoration in Seattle by Mr. John Murphy (date not known at this time, but around 2004.)
The restoration included completely rebuilding the GM Detroit 671's, and new wiring throughout.
In 2007 she was sold to Seattle businessman Robert Boyd.
In 2009 in a deal with Royal Vancouver Yacht club member Jerry Rendell, owner of Syrene, Madera found a new home with Rendell and Syrene went to Seattle.
June 2013, Madera was sold as part of Rendell's estate to Audrey and Michael Topliss of North Vancouver and members of Burrard Yacht Club.
